Because New Year’s Eve falls on a Thursday, Zlatibor is ideal for a long weekend: you can arrive on Wednesday or Thursday, see in the New Year, stay for the New Year’s Day party and head home on Sunday. That is exactly why accommodation for these dates is among the first to fill up in the season.

Pjević Event Centar is in Branešci near Čajetina (Branešci bb). It is one of the announced events on Zlatibor whose performers are confirmed by the organiser.

Beware of outdated information on portals: some portals still list Ceca for Pjević (an offer for New Year’s Eve 2023) or Tea Tairović at the New Year’s Day party with a €40 bar table (undated). For 2027 the organiser lists Lepa Brena and Aca Lukas. One portal (gdezanovu.rs) states that money is not refunded after 10 November unless the organiser cancels the event; check the cancellation terms before paying.

“Hotel Mona Plaza 2027” offers on portals do not relate to the new season: one portal lists them as an archive from 2024, and one page with that title is actually for the hotel of the same name in Belgrade. For reference: for last New Year’s Eve, the Zlatibor Tourist Organisation reported that three-night half-board packages in hotels cost around 450 to 800 euros (Kurir, 30.12.2025). These are last season’s prices, not offers for 2027.
New Year’s Eve on King’s Square
Zlatibor traditionally holds an open-air New Year’s Eve celebration on King’s Square (Kraljev trg). The programme for 31 December 2026 has not been published yet: the Zlatibor Tourist Organisation page gives only the date, with no year or performers, and there was no announcement in its news up to 23.10.2026. The performers some portals list for the square are from previous years. We will update this section as soon as the programme is officially announced.

New Year’s Eve for two on Zlatibor
For couples, Zlatibor offers two kinds of New Year’s Eve. The first is a concert: a bar table at New Year’s Eve with Lepa Brena costs €140 for two, and at the New Year’s Day party with Aca Lukas €60, with drinks paid separately. The second is a private celebration in a log cabin or apartment, with a dinner you prepare yourselves or order in, and a spa just for the two of you.
A good combination is to spend 31 December at accommodation with spa facilities and go to the New Year’s Day party on 1 January. For privacy choose Villa Natural Wood with a private spa slot; to be close to the centre and the square, choose Apartman EXEO or Aria Club. Check spa times and any New Year offer with the host before you arrive.
New Year’s Eve on Zlatibor with children
Of the published offers, the most concrete for families is the Hotel Queen of Zlatibor package: a playroom, children’s entertainment on New Year’s Eve from 9 pm to 2 am and an additional children’s programme, with free stays for children up to 7 and pool use for children up to 12 until 6 pm. Skiing, the gondola and day trips over the holidays
As of 23.10.2026, the opening date of the ski season on Tornik has not been announced. Skijališta Srbije (Ski Resorts of Serbia) has announced a 15% discount on ski passes bought online from 1 to 15 November (B92). The winter timetable of the Gold Gondola has not been published yet either. Whether the slopes will be open over the holidays depends on snow, so check conditions on the Skijališta Srbije website before you travel.
If you are staying a few days, use the holidays for a day trip: the Uvac Canyon from Zlatibor or a day trip to Tara. If you are choosing between the two mountains, see Tara or Zlatibor for two (in Serbian).
What to check before booking
- Minimum stay. Over the holidays a minimum of three nights is almost always required.
- Whether the celebration is included. Ask hotels whether the gala dinner is included in the package price and whether drinks are unlimited.
- Cancellation terms. For Pjević Event Centar, one portal states that money is not refunded after 10 November. Ask for written confirmation of the terms.
- Transport on New Year’s Eve. Pjević Event Centar is in Branešci, outside the centre. Arrange transport in advance.
- Winter equipment. Check road conditions and your vehicle’s equipment before you travel.
- Spa slots. At accommodation with a private spa, slots often need to be booked in advance.
